Chris Recker

What's Up! I'm Chris Recker a native of Nebraska. I have lived in Cuming County my entire life, most of it spent on a farm in Beemer. I graduated from Beemer High School in 2001 then went to Northeast Community College in Norfolk and earned a degree in Radio and TV Broadcasting. Those who know me probably find it hard to believe that I went into this business since I'm shy, quiet and hardly ever talk. (I'm pretty sure that I've talked more on the air than off the air. It's easier to talk when people aren't looking at you!) My English teacher said I had a nice voice and I should give radio a try, plus I've always liked sports and sports announcing was interesting to me. I started at KTIC in July of 2000 part time, board operating ball games and doing a weekend shift on KTIC AM. Now I am the Programming and Music Director for 107.9 FM The Bull and have a full time shift on KTIC AM weekdays from 10-1pm and 3-7pm on 107.9 The Bull. I'm a Nebraska Football, Maryland Basketball and Atlanta Braves fanatic. Hobbies include: playing sports, playing video games and listening to music.

Join me 3-7pm weekdays on 107.9 The Bull and give me a call at 372-9191 with your requests on the 5 O'clock stampede!
