ABOUT ANDERSON & SHAW

In 1981, A & S Construction was formed and by 1990, Rick Anderson and Steve Shaw were equal partners in Anderson & Shaw Construction, Inc.

Anderson & Shaw Construction's business has gradually grown to the point where they now employ 22 full-time employees year round. Our business bond has grown over the years to the point where we are able to bid on jobs up to eight million dollars, and have completed many large bonded jobs. We have accomplished this without having to borrow money, except on rare occasions. Our reputation as a custom home building is hard to exceed, and our experience in commercial jobs has grown as well.

Anderson & Shaw Construction has always tried to complete their jobs using their own labor force as much as possible in order to keep the cost of the job at a minimum. We have a crew which does drywall, finish work, framing, acoustical ceilings, concrete, Polysteel, steel stud work, and much more. By doing as much of the work as possible, ourselves, we feel it enables us to keep the job on schedule much better than when we depend on other subcontractors, as they may have other jobs to complete before they can get to our projects, and of course, we do not have any control over their schedules. Although we cannot guarantee that things will go as smoothly as we would always like, we always make every effort to keep on schedule, as we realize the owners are usually very anxious to have their project completed and our goal is to make that dream come true.

Anderson & Shaw Construction always uses a billing form similar to the AIA forms, which shows the owner and architect the scheduled values of all parts of the project. On Change Orders, each change will need to be signed by the architect (if there is one) owner, and contractor. Changes will not be completed without your authorization, and all change orders will include the cost of materials, labor, profit, and overhead.

Construction experience of thirteen years. Includes hotel projects, healthcare and educational facilities along with residential.




Ruth Kaup, Project Manager
Three and a half years training under Steve Shaw in project management.





Rita Prickett, Office Manager
Twenty-nine years experience in office management and administration in the construction industry.




Brandon Rajewich, Job Superintendent/Project Manager
Six years of construction experience.
