
The Carpenter center is a non profit 501(c)(3)
organization located in Terrytown, Nebraska that provides recreational and educational programs for all ages
within the Nebraska Panhandle and beyond.
The Carpenter Center educational wing was built in 1996 with the
gymnasium and fitness room completed in 1998.
The center was funded with HUD, DED grants, and donations from the
Carpenter family, City of Terrytown, TQM, and Scotts Bluff County Housing
Authority. The building is approximately
20,000 sq. feet and houses Gering preschool classrooms, City of Terrytown
offices, a gymnasium, locker rooms, and a fitness center. The Carpenter Center grounds provide two
softball fields, a sand volleyball court, football/soccer fields, and a one and
a half mile walking path that connects to Monument Valley Pathways.
