Our Mission
The mission of the Corporation is to establish "The Terry and Hazeldeane Carpenter Intergenerational  Center as a recreational and educational Facility, whose primary service area is Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska and surrounding communities.  The Center offers it's programs primarily, but not exclusively, to parents, children, and elderly who lack the financial resources to access existing educational and recreational opportunities."

Who We Are

The Carpenter center is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Terrytown, Nebraska that provides recreational and educational programs for all ages within the Nebraska Panhandle and beyond.  The Carpenter Center educational wing was built in 1996 with the gymnasium and fitness room completed in 1998.  The center was funded with HUD, DED grants, and donations from the Carpenter family, City of Terrytown, TQM, and Scotts Bluff County Housing Authority.  The building is approximately 20,000 sq. feet and houses Gering preschool classrooms, City of Terrytown offices, a gymnasium, locker rooms, and a fitness center.  The Carpenter Center grounds provide two softball fields, a sand volleyball court, football/soccer fields, and a one and a half mile walking path that connects to Monument Valley Pathways.
